Boston Ballistic Technologies LLC was formed in 2021 by Mike Sleeper, one of the 3 founders of the former Tenebraex Corporation in Boston in the early 1990’s, bringing honeycomb Anti-Reflection Devices (ARDs) to the military, hunting and shooting industries. Mike’s key contribution then was developing the original, legacy, anti-reflective coating and its application to honeycomb substrates. In response to a DOD and OEM outreach in 2020 Mike developed FlareX©, a next-gen, higher performing thin-film coating and a new, proprietary application process. FlareX© coated ARDs absorb vastly more light than standard, legacy products with a superior, even coverage. FlareX© coating diminishes lens flare when shooting up-sun or aiming towards a light source. This results in an enhanced ARD that improves soldier’s mission capability.
